HEL Røyk - Sahumadores

This summer, we were blessed with a visit from wisdom keeper Roxana Campos Araya - Nur Jaham from Chile, organized by Jessica Ullevålseter.

Roxana is the carrier of the ‘Sahumador Medicine’ - sacred smoke. Using the Sahumador is a way to serve the world by working with plant spirits and smoke for harmonizing, healing and uniting heaven and earth.

The initiation is a therapeutic process, where we start from the sahumador as a metaphor for our "outer" womb. The process teaches us to know our own womb and ourselves as portals of creation.

As spoken by Roxana: “Women are natural channels, but first we have to investigate who actually lives and occupies the sacred space in our own womb: what memories, pains or traumas are located there. When we better understand what is happening with ovaries and uterus, we learn to cleanse our most essential organ: our greatest center of creation.”

We learned about medicinal plants, ‘el sahumio’ and our connection with the Sahumador, about the secrets of the sacred herbs, purification rituals and the spiritual connection that this millennial practice offers.

Co-facilitator Jessica writes:

To give thanks. For this medicine: this subtle, soft, kind- strong medicine.

My highest thanks to Heimdal who gave us permission to pass the portal; Bifrost-the rainbow. and that aurora borrealis; she Is Frøya who moves with her army of women warriors (Valkyriene) through the skies.

I Give my deepest thanks to Roxana for coming to the end of the other world, to join Ragnar: Rogne-treet (árbol de frutos rojos) rojo, the wheel- Ragnarokk (Apocalipsis- resurrección) ~ to help us westerners, ancestral orphans- awakening the nectar, the memory-Munin, of our foremothers and healing hands.

To invoke our own medicine and reckognize that which whole humanity have used and is not deprived to one tribe.

To know the smoke - that which touches the non physical - takk.

This is more than a workshop, this is a pact to be in service to Mother Earth, working together in solidarity .

“I trust your love, Goddess I am” Roxana I am so proud of your mission and honour it!

We are now a tribe of women who are prepared to serve- come and cleanse your house, health and the streets, movements and historical places.

And join next years workshop - so our clan can grow, so we can become multiple healers working in collective.”
